Imam Hussain, son of Ali pbuh

Imam Hussain peace be upon him is the third Imam and the second son of Imam Ali, peace be upon them.

Imam Hussain son of Ali underwent the worst and most gruesome tragedies in the history of creation.  He was beheaded after being shot with more then 40 arrows on the Tenth of Mohorram which is known as Ashoora in the battle of Karbala.  He was sinless and at no fault and he had only denied to accept the rule of Yazid ibn e Muawya who was a corrupt, vulgar hypocrite Muslim.  The Battle took place by the river Euphrates in modern day Iraq.
The Battle of Karbala has been aforementioned in the Psalms and Bible long before the birth of Prophet Mohommad, peace be upon him and his pure progeny.  
Quoting Jeremiah 46:10:

But that day belongs to the Lord, the Lord Almighty—
    a day of vengeance, for vengeance on his foes.
The sword will devour till it is satisfied,
    till it has quenched its thirst with blood.
For the Lord, the Lord Almighty, will offer sacrifice
    in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.
